Hi all!
Firstly, I just wanted to say thank you to all who were able to help with the most recent donation, it was a great success!
On February 4, 2024, my team and I drove to Paul’s House to make our drop. My mom and I had gone out the afternoon before to purchase cans with the money that I had raised. We were able to gather nearly 300 cans of corn and gravy! Paul’s House was so grateful for all of that we were able to contribute, and that made me feel very happy. Being able to give back to my community is something that I hold really close to my heart as I’ve been doing it from a very young age.
I hope that we can continue to expand the number of items that are donated with every drop, and I hope to put together a donation drop soon. I hope that by contributing to my community, I can also inspire others to give back to theirs.
Giving is such a wonderful thing, and though you may never be able to fully see the extent to which your work impacts others, it leaves you with many feelings of joy and gratitude. It’s almost like the effects of self care, except you’re doing it to help others.
I hope someone gives you a reason to smile this week :)
